Brian Metcalfe

Absolutely loved this "sequel" to the original comic. If you have only seen the 2009 movie, there will be things that you don't understand, but it does serve as a kind of " Cliff's Notes" version to give some background on some of the characters involved. The 9 episode structure allows the story room to breathe. The 1st 4 episodes are outstanding world building, but from episode 5 until the conclusion, the show somehow finds another gear. The production value is outstanding w/ every dollar of it's budget seen onscreen. Everyone nails their character, but special attention must go to Regina King and Jeremy Irons. Regina King was born to play Sister Night, and Jeremy Irons gets to dial it up to 11 in his scenery chewing performance as Ozymandias. This is a must watch....
