This game literally is a risk to your mental health. I have bought every FIFA for as long as I can remember and I'm fed up of how bad the gameplay is. I pretty much only play Ultimate Team and love that aspect of the game even if the pack weight etc is rigged and EA control the market at their will, fair enough. The objective style they are doing this year I like and I think they should bring back the midweek tournaments to make bronze and silver players actually useful on this game other than for SBC's. But the gameplay... there is not one single good aspect about it. If I was in charge of creating this game I would be embarrassed and wouldn't even let this reach beta never mind full release. Passing is abysmal. Players with 90 passing can't even pass the ball 5 yards if the game doesn't want you to. Through balls are absolutely useless in the centre of the pitch and go straight to the keeper or into the opposing defender even if there is acres of space to pass into. My midfield is non existent, they don't come back on defence and barely help in attack there is a huge bulging gap between back line and midfield. Tackling is ridiculous. You can tackle the same player 3 times in a row and he could still have the ball it's a joke. Attacking is poor the only way to get past the brick wall defences is to run it down the wing and do a hard ground pass to someone in the middle or hope for them to make a mistake and bring a player out and pass it around them. Dribbling is dead. The referee decisions are shocking. No card or yellows only for synical last man challenges. No fouls given for clear fouls and clear cut opportunities being ruined. Scripting is as real as ever. I have dominated games 60%+ possesion 20+ shots on target vs a handful and lost plenty of times. There is no skill gap the game is easy for noobs to play and the way it is scripted and setup anybody can beat anyone no matter how you play. Servers are shocking and laggy and the gameplay is so slow and not reponsive at all. I love the game for all the great memories in the past and I love football so always buy the game year in year out. However, enough is enough. If we continue to pre-order this shocking game every year EA will just keep doing this over and over. Next year I will not be pre-ordering the game, I will wait to see what people say the gameplay is like and go off that. If the reviews are bad I will not buy this game next year.
