I love the story but I am repulsed by the transgender thing being so forced.. look, I get people are mistreated, I get that the parenting was wrong.. i am totally on board with her trying to kill her son was wrong. She should have handled all of that very differently, but.. i am not for people changing who God made them just because they are unhappy. I don't believe anyone was "made that way" or just "is" that way. It makes me sick to my stomach.. how can you defy who you are? Are you not good enough? Is who God made you not good enough? What is wrong with the world today that this is so accepted now? It hurts and makes me sad.. there needs to be more love and a very different type of acceptance than this. We should be teaching right from wrong in a loving and kind way.. the way Jesus did. We shouldn't be telling our kids to be someone else, or that they can't be someone great. That's not right..
On top of that, sure, let's teach our teens its ok to rebel.. ok to not want God in our lives and to be our "own" person.. what happened to God? This just makes following God look horrible.. just why?
