I loved the concept they brought to this show. The idea of looking for a fashion designer and an entrepreneur is brilliant, and the prize definitely sets the designer's career for life.
However, the judges need to be more strict about this. it's cool that they give the designer a chance to explain themselves and give them a second chance based on that, but an assignment is an assignment. First day of season 2, Joshua should have been eliminated, he literally brought down a clown-ish design down the runway. Horrible design, no one would wear. It's great he redeemed himself in the second challenge. But I don't think Lendrell should have been the one to leave on day 1. The elimination process and selecting the winner is really bad. You might want to bend the rules a bit, but to eliminate 2 people in 1 episode is kind of of a let down also. Example of this, is also in season 2, episode 6, I agree Raf didn't bring fresh colors and designs down the runway, but to also eliminate Lucie was not fair. Almost as if they wanted to wrap up the season really quickly and bring it down to the top 3.
And also, Gary should have won, why? Because his designs are so out of the box, so new, so artistic. The judges are looking for "Modern" but this is what fashion is all about, it's about setting a new trend!! Let his designs be the new modern. Heck, designs from the 60's and 70's are being modernized.
All in all, the idea behind the show is great, but the process of applying the rules is 👎🏼
