This game is fantastic. The world-building alone keeps me coming back for more.
The story is compelling and keeps you hooked in and engaged.
The game and controls feel intuitive, not at all clunky or difficult to remember.
I’m a fan of the little details in a game, and I really loved that about Control. All the files, and correspondence that you can collect to understand more about the world Jesse has found herself in really makes you feel more invested in what happens. I’ll bet the developers had a lot of fun making this.
Gameplay is challenging enough; but not too much to lead to frustration. I tend to play games for their story and world-building aspects—and this game has both in spades. But, for those that enjoy really challenging gameplay: there are timed challenges you can play using the Jukebox.
I play on my Xbox One and the graphics are still amazing. But, at times, this can lead to the game crashing. This didn’t happen often enough that I would demote my rating to 4-stars though.
Whole-heartedly recommend.
