Your statement today regarding Boy Scouts s Girl Scouts was disappointing.. Sara's comments referring to "the gold something" was degrading The GOLD AWARD is equivalent to the Eagle Scout award. It is not new. My daughter and members of her troop earned it in 1994. Girl Scouts have have had to continue to strive for equal recognition just like other womens issues. The Girl Scouts are so much more than "selling cookies", My late Mom and her sister (soon to be 98) were Girl Scuts n the late 1920's and early 30's. And yes.. my son earned Eagle Scout as did three of my nephews.
