The finale part 1 was good, part 2 meh. Overall on the season - I am very torn, there was good, bad and the ugly. Hopefully they will be more faithful to the source material in season 2. If GoT can do season 1 and pretty much season 2 as an almost literal page for page translation, Fox and the producers should be able to as well. It's a great book and the show really "hollywoodized" and diverged from the story, arcs and characters. Lila isnt even a page worth of material in book 1, plus an antivirus - what????, the who lives and dies It should almost be called something different then the Passage. Would be looking forward to a next season but to keep me as a fan/watcher will need to be more faithful to the book that means no Lila, Wolgast, Lear, Richards, etc. I am not even sure how the series can course correct/recover with Lila and Wolgasts arcs. Instead new actors and characters focusing on the present day, 100 years later in the colony (some flashbacks of those characters - Alicia, Jaxon, Fisher and Patal clans, etc). _______________________________________________
Part 1 of the post after the pilot was deleted by me since it was outdated. I still question the casting specifically MPG and Emmanuelle C. Net-net of original post is contained in the post finale thoughts.
