I’ve read nearly every one of the books about Armand Gamache by Louise Penny, and I am absolutely thrilled to see this series! It doesn’t matter that everything is not identical to the books. The spirit is the same! Even my husband loves the show and he’s never read any of the books. I’m assuming Mme. Penny has given her blessing. That’s good enough for me!

A refreshingly modern adaptation of the classic story, but set long ago - it works. I’m 60, my daughter is 28 and we both loved it! We recently watched the 1965 TV movie version with music by Rodgers and Hammerstein, and the sexist stereotypes were almost painful to watch - even though I absolutely loved as a 5-year old. Thank you Kay Conner for your wonderful imagination and creative talents!
