Where to start? This show was spectacular… though I would have preferred it to be a tiny bit funnier, it was surely action-packed and thrilling. I feel like this miniseries really shows major character development.
Sam Wilson’s home and family show his personal side that was never before showcased. Him getting the boat repaired and his fraternity with the various members of the town was nice to watch.
But in my opinion, Bucky Barnes stole the show. So, maybe this is just me but I felt like I’d never really appreciated his character ever before this. After watching him in this series my mind is blown away. I questioned myself and wondered how I had been kinda negligent of this character. But he has grown so much, he looks better now that he's cut his hair and is stable. He is so self-affirmed and relaxed.
One last thing about Bucky is that he never really had the spotlight before the show... and when he did, he was made to seem extremely antagonistic. Just the first episode, seeing him make amends with people and going to therapy gives me a perspective that I didn't know existed before. A look into this character’s side that I didn't expect he had... it was absolutely beautiful.
Overall, it was a great show. Marvel succeeded in showing John Walker in the right (villainous) light. They also showed how power makes people (Karli) even more power-hungry and ruthless. I’d say it’s definitely worth watching, according to me it also has quite a lot of things that may be relevant to the MCU in the future.
