I'm no film critic and this is my first review but this movie has had quite an effect on me so I felt compelled to write and share my thoughts.
How did this film not gain more traction? I'm seeing this at the end of its run (6 people in the cinema) and I have not heard enough about it. I vaguely recall some criticism about Carey Mulligan being cast in the role but she played it perfectly. This movie should be shown in high school. Potential spoilers ahead...so if you think you might want to watch it, stop reading here, and GO!
About half way through I thought it was going to have a wishy washy Hollywood ending but it took a turn
and kept me intrigued to the very end. More than ever with phone cameras and social media bad decisions you thought were buried can come back to bite you.
Maybe it didn't gain more traction because there are quite a lot of 'nice guys' out there...?
