The movie does not do the book justice by any measure. It feels jumpy, slap dash and just not the caliber movie that the jack ryan movies before it (hunt for red October, clear and present danger, patriot games) were far better. Ben Aflac does not make a compelling jack ryan. While I can understand that the movie had to be extremely condensed as the book is huge and extremely detailed from how jack Ryan helped bring peace to israel and Palestinian. And the detailed description of how the Palestinian extremist group built the nuke they used. Down to how they planned their attack on the states. The review on how they made the movie seem alarmist isnt far off. But to summarize. This movie fell horribly short and the book is much better.
