Dear shifu, just watched JW3 on IMAX. As it opened was ready to be blown away by fights and thrill previous JW films brought ( yea I enjoyed both of them, watched first one multiple times). The way story picked up and paced for first 15 mins was brilliant, kudos to bgm. Have complaints abt cgi but mehh. The cult where John brought up was just as stoic, aloof and violently artistic as the man himself. The Casablanca episode might have been interesting but that wasn’t the set up I got used to see JW in. Further poor acting from berry and entourage didn’t help. As we roll towards the climax, wow, what a show it was. McShane and JW show all the way. The wrap is definitely not as good as the first one but yea rest assured he ll return and this time the stakes or should I say, the tables are really high. In total, good movie to be in the franchise, some great acting, some brilliant dances, of course with guns, bad cgi, weak plot and bad berries, JW moves on. Will definitely wait for JW 4. Great lines: if you want peace, prepare for war.
