David Fincher continues pushing Hollywood’s shock strategy by delving into the darkside of the human heart, but uses excessive explicit sexual content to bolster a poorly constructed plot as well as excessive expletives or curse words to increase shock value and intensity. The blood and gore scene where Amy slashes her lovers throat plummets the film to trash category. Gone Girl follows the same grimy films that Fincher has produced like Zodiac, Se7en, Fight Club, etc al. Not worth seeing nor even correctly rated. Personally, I would rate it a large X.
