I thought the movie was interesting, but some aspects were lacking (SPOILERS).
1) First off the BEST scene in the movie was the shipwreck scene during the storm where everyone was in utter misery and throwing up all over the place, while the Captain and the Russian (iconique duo) were drunkenly debating Marxist theory. I was gagging, but I was also LIVVINNG for it. Absolute masterpiece. Grossly hilarious.
2) I started the movie off not knowing what it was about, so the first scene made me assume it was mainly about the initial couple's (Yaya and Carl) relationship. To me, it lost the plot afterward and started going off on a lot of different tangents.
3) I understand that the main idea was to highlight greed and place a critique of human behaviour, and it did so in a decent way, but the ending was so painfully lacklustre that I began regretting the time I spent watching.
4) Overall, low-key a flop because of the end, but high-key an experience because of the Russian, the Captain, and the violently ill passengers.
