Weird plot (sub-plots) and slow overall. No final closure of the Leland character, and the subplot of the mountain people how and why barely existed or had any real necessity or meaning within the context. The main plot was, basically, let's throw away lives and money based on letting a psychopathic raping and murdering relative live, then revenge when he gets justly killed. Real borderline criminals doing business, DO THE BUSINESS! YOU MAKE THE MONEY, you don't cover the back of the psychopath who is raping and murdering. You end them, even if they are a brother/son/wife/daughter etc...business IS ABOUT THE BUSINESS.
Acting was on-point all around, but neither Ron Perlman or Malcom McDowell are able to exude the necessary hardness of characters, they both just seemed tired, no desire, lifeless in the roles, but maybe that was the writing/directing.
Vinnie Jones did an excellent job as always, the only reason this got 2 stars.
