This was a bit different from what I expected. I didn't obtain too much information before watching it with my friends either, so a lot of the expectations was based on the poster I saw and a vague description from my friends that this movie might be a sad story, and it's about a Korean immigrants family in the United States.
Well, I would say it's not necessary a sad story, but it certainly has emotional parts. I think it showed the struggles within a family about work/dream and life/children. Some plots seem sudden to me, but life is like that too, so understandable. My favorite character is the grandma, who is not like the typical grandma who would do everything for you. While watching this, I imagined if I were them, what I have done, probably not better than them. Overall a good movie, but I felt that parts could've been more smooth and not too forceful.
