This is such an incredible movie that we watch it every year at Halloween, and I even tell others that yes, they should in fact read this movie in place of another popcorn-cruncher for Halloween. The performances, setting, and effects are fantastic, and the story is even better. The fact that it is set in Basque Country and fully performed in fluent Basque language (not Catalan, as some here have said) - which is a linguistic isolate, unrelated to any other language and censored and even banned by Spain for hundreds of years, is just another incredible element of this movie, in my opinion. Wonderfully unique, with scares, feels, and fantastic visuals, this telling of Basque legend is not to be missed.
