A wonderful film with Hildago, a Mustang, as the hero. Heart warming and well played by Viggo Mortensen who is a kind, down to earth, American style hero. I have watched it several times over the years and have followed Mr. Mortensen's career. Liked the film very much.

Excellent in its emotional impact and an honest attempt to depict the fact that war is senseless violence that simply breeds more violence. Strong performance by Christian Bale and the supporting cast. Very slow moving which adds to its intensity and deep message of the tragedy of the reality of man's reciprocal inhumanity to man.
