Season 1 was alright. Season 2 was good, it really started picking up, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But season 3 was just a let down. They lost the plot of it.
Elders, these powerful, highly built-up, forces of nature turned out to be a huge let down. Everything became convoluted and messy. Littered with plot-holes. Andit'd be nice to see so degree of emotions from Vanessa instead of being brooding and grumpy 24/7 even towards close friends and family.
I could be wrong, but I sense a certain degree of male-sexism growing. I get that the titular characters are badass female vampire hunters. But every male character is either evil, a goofball or just creepy. The LGBT relations felt forced as well. I just felt that for any interaction between a male and female character depicted in van helsing. If the roles were reversed, there would have been major public outcry
