Straight up action, all the way. Good for a kick back, turn off brain and enjoy for a few hours.

I was watching the excellent Korean drama Vincenzo, but it took a break so I decided to check out Stranger. It was disappointing, at first, compared to Vincenzo, whose characters are fun and engaging. In contrast, through the 1st few episodes of Stranger the characters seem more detached and hard to empathize with. Stick with it and as they flesh out the characters, it becomes a good, cerebral "who done it" with me rooting for certain characters. Well worth watching. I'm starting season 2 now, hoping it continues being a great series that I don't want to end.

I started with Season 3, Episode 1 as a) that's where a friend started and b) that's where Netflix started me. What beautiful, heart wrenching photography and individuals. Despite the squalid conditions, as Simon Lister said: "They have laughter," and "Educations is a key." Now back to the beginning. Same day: I just finished Season 1 Episode 1: majestic whale photography and interaction "when they allow it" as Darren said. Dramatic volcano footage and night photography of "Pete's" off Rabaul, Papua New Guinea!

A good, action packed movie with interesting twists along the way. If you just want some good entertainment, not up to critics nor Oscar standards, this will be good fare. I can see myself rewatching it as I have all the Butler films, Clancy films, Oldman films...

A slow burn, cerebral movie with a great cast and good acting. One thing I liked was that there was no over the top action, it was all quite realistic and an interesting study of Del Toro's character.

One of the most unusual, fascinating and fun stories I've ever watched. I hope to see more such little productions.

WMDs in Iraq or not, that's beyond my knowledge base. This is a good action movie with an interesting plot and characters. And, based on my experience working in the government, a very plausible scenario: there are truth seekers (Miller) and smoke blowers (Poundstone). Sadly, D.C. and the media today (2023) seem to be more intent on blowing smoke than seeking truth. I greatly enjoyed the suspense of who would finish first....

I think I'm watching this series, season one for at least the 3rd time. Why? So many reasons. 1) the series is so well presented: an horrific story that doesn't show the goriness, leaving that to one's imagination. 2) for those of us not from India, this shows the remarkable, trying and valiant conditions of life there, and the constrictions of police police work in Delhi (no handcuffs except in extreme circumstances, no shift work as Americans would recognize... and 3) the acting is perfect!
