Not enough reviews by women. Pretty sure this will be a gender polarizing movie. Too violent but so is the real world and the patriarchy.

First I am ecstatic to have Linda Hamilton back in the Terminator verse. This movie evoked strong emotions for me because it was so good. I generally hate action but I was glued to every exciting second in this film. Rev-9 is a whole new terrifying machine. It is an excellent movie and it is infuriating that it has been labeled a bomb and a franchise killer. Linda Hamilton’s fierce Sarah Connor grabs my heart as a mother, a woman struggling to make her voice heard in the world and as a strong woman who fights for herself and humanity.

Haven’t finished watching yet but I was yelling don’t kill (a prominent character) early on. I felt the violence that occurred in the subway tunnel was gratuitous. I would rather see less cruelty from humans these days.
