I’ve read the books several times and was looking forward to this. Sadly it appears the book is being so far largely ignored and the authors are focused on making the show progressive and politically appeasing, rather than bringing to life this beloved sci-fi masterpiece. The story is now mostly about how ladies are intelligent, talented, strong and inspirational, much more so than men. I don’t disagree, but I hoped to watch the complicated and monumental story as it was written by Isaac Asimov, and maybe even see its’ spirit captured on film (long shot I know). But the story is re-written in the spirit of promoting feminism. On the 7th episode I found myself thinking: “What in the world am I even watching here… This isn’t Foundation”. So I stopped. What a tremendous waste of an opportunity. But at least, unlike GoT, it didn’t string me up until the last 3 episodes, eh :)
Disclaimer: I would’ve been equally disappointed if instead of feminism the authors chose to ruin the story with war on poverty/animal rights/atheism/religion/any other agenda
