With a very strong and commendable acting by all the actors, the movie lacks in logic, character and relevance. The movie glorifies violence against partners as a way to express true love- an idea which is rediculous to any evolved human being living in 2021. The characters change drastically thought the movie. A strong minded Tapsee gives in to the psychological and physical abuse by her husband, who, in the first part, had been this gentle and shy engineer. Talking of husband, the guy turns from a gentle, homeopathy-loving guy to a wife beater and an attempted murderer in quick succession. At times, the movie becomes overbearingly crass, almost feeling like the script is of the same literary quality as one of the cheap suspense novels being sold on the railway stations for a few hundred rupees.
I would give this movie 2 stars only to acknowledge superb acting by the talented actors in the movie. Would not recommend watching the movie unless you want to watch something cringe-worthy.
