The casting (both magical and real life) was atrocious in this movie. If you're a big fan of the books, you do NOT want to watch this movie, trust me. Everyone is trying so hard to be so "quirky" and aware that they're in a teen movie that subtle nuances of the book are overshadowed by the actors cracking jokes that Ethan would never say in the damn novel. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT MACON'S RIDICULOUS WHITE OUTFIT. THANKS. That's 45 minutes of my life I will never get back. Ugh.
