Lucky Eddy

Sure this ain't a classic. Especially when you hear at the end of the movie that it is made on a true story. I mean you can't make this stuff up. Life is surely more astonishingly astonishing than fiction. I just hoped they had a more developed script. This could have been a classic given the chance of the nostalgia, but it's not optimally utilized. But 'it' is still fun.

This is one of Best animated pictures ever made. I don't why the contemporary critics didn't like this movie. It definitely deserved the Oscars that year. Giving the award to any other movie that year was unfair. It's the ultimate movie about returning home. When you yearn so badly about coming back home, but have to put your head down and earn your way back. It is like earning your right to be free. Pure, uncluttered, unadulterated movie. No sidekicks or stupid subplots. I like this kind of movies.
