Anurag Basu always takes his creative freedom to that corner which is hailed by his fiberal gang as ‘bold’. The scene where Rajkumar Rao playing shurpanaka’s role calls the person playing Lakshmana... BC. For one the scene wreaks of vengeful attempt to make a petty political point rather than a funny joke. It’s futile and even cliche to ask the ‘what about...’ question. But that’s where freedom of expression begins and ends in Bollywood. May the lord Ram instill some good sense in these otherwise intelligent people.
