Yes, its a "typical horror movie" but this one perfectly captures the pure evil of Michael Myers. No cheesy or corny scenes. Just brutal killing and suspense. Halloween puts the horror in the horror genre. And even though I generally dislike humour in horror movies, Laurie was the real MVP throughout.

ICONIC! Creepy visuals and atmosphere, with an interesting villain to boot. Wished the sequels lived up to this masterpiece.

Normally don't watch CBM willingly but MoS was fun to watch. Definitely wanted more screentime on Superman's character though. He kinda got overshadowed in his own movie.

5 stars for that happy ending, which is extremely rare for psychological thrillers

This movie is the closest we'd get to Lovecraftian horror. Emphasises more on atmosphere and mystery so if you don't like that, you're gonna be disappointed.
