I heard them right after The Live @ The Fillmore East was released in July 1971 and had made the airways in our Huey Helicopter in Viet Nam the week before I took the Freedom Bird home. It was the most exciting, innovative sound that I ever heard and knocked my socks off. Content wise and Energy wise, this is an extraordinary album and set the standard for the new sound called, "Southern Rock!"

One of the Greatest Rock n' Roll Albums of all time. When other guitarists, Eric Clayton, Pete Townsend, Keith Richard, George Harrison, ect heard this masterpiece they had to pay attention. They had to say, "There's A New Sheriff in Town Boys and his name is Jimi." What can I say, he's the man who innovated Rock n' Roll guitar and it all started with this album.

I loved this album since 1966. This and "Just Another Band From LA" are my two Mother's Finest. Frank Zappa showed me that an album could be made with cutting edge sarcastic provocative lyrics where a story unfolded naked every cut, allowing the brain to assimilate statements without clever rhymes, classic progressive thoughts, and a hook in the chorus. His approach was refreshing and electrifying!

My Favorite Album of All Time. Ray Charles paints a picture with every song and story in this album. That Lucky Old Sun is Philosophy. Old Man River is Religion. He perpetuates a great creator with his delivery of fine penned lyrics. The Best There Ever Was!

Elvis Gold Record 1958 Great Recordings with solid "Superstar Performances" like "Too Much," "All Shook Up," and "Teddy Bear!" Nobody got better crowd response then Elvis and he captured some of his great energy and charisma on this album.
