Lavender Forest

From what I can see, most of the people who gave this a one star are Christians who don’t want their children to be seeing anything that goes against their religion, which is fine. BUT I’m giving this show a one star because of how UNORIGINAL it is. It’s like the trash version of Gravity Falls. Literally almost every episode has the same, generic plot: Luz does a stupid thing, learns not to do the stupid thing, then forgets her lesson because she literally does a stupid thing again in the next episode. Not to mention you have so many cliches that get boring real fast: Episode of prom night, a body swap episode, an episode where the characters get shrunk and have to find a way to get large again, and so on and so forth. None of the characters are great either: Luz is literally a Mary Sue. I know the term Mary Sue is thrown around a lot, but the fact that Luz is able to beat multiple guards and other magical creatures without any trouble and just by using a bunch of magical paper is very Mary Sue. King, Willow, and Gus are just there, Eda is just bad because she keeps promising Luz that she’s gonna teach her magic, but then literally never does and Luz learns to do it on her own. Lilith is not good either as her redemption is very rushed. Like seriously, there is no excuse for what she did to Eda. Amity is... actually fine I guess. So yeah, this show sucks. Idk if I can trust Disney anymore with making good cartoons and movies because of how much they suck, especially their live action remakes. The day that Disney stops being greedy for money and actually thinks about making a good story and moving forward, is the day where everything will be ok again.

Very good story with an important moral about how death will always be inevitable. But can I just say that the negative reviews are stupid! Like, people hate this book for literally the most dumbest reasons possible! People say the story is too hard to read, it’s too sad, bad representation of disease, and so on and so forth. BRUH, this story is popular and is required for many students in school to read for a good reason! Stop acting like Edgar Allan Poe and his stories are trash, when you know that they’re actually pretty good. You all just won’t give it a chance because you all are just are too apathetic.
