Superb movie. Very entertaining in what is obviously a dark comedy with occasional extremely violent acts. However, the film isn't about the violence but more about the value of life and what matters most about living. Beautifully acted by all too.

An astonishingly good black comedy - one of the best series of its type you will ever see. it isn't just a broad story about bereavement, it has many extra nuggets of pure gold regarding human observation and behaviour. You will not know whether to weep or split yourself laughing. Sometimes you'll do both at the same time.

I’m a huge Gervais fan. I have always admired his courage to use controversial topics and approaches to find humour in the human condition. However, I found Armageddon to be, not so much shocking, but more a little predictable and, dare I say it, dull. Shocking material can be very funny if used sparingly and part of a larger drive to some kind of philosophical revelation. Armageddon starts dark and remains dark and apart from the occasional brilliant observation (“WE invented the N-word!”) it never takes off. When I try and judge a performance of an established star I ask myself a question. If this performer was unheard of and performing this material, would I find it funny? The answer to my long time favourite Ricky Gervais’ Armageddon is a rather sad “No.”

Incredibly good cop series. Undoubtedly, the best I have ever seen in my 65 years. The acting by all cast members is superlative and performed easily without strain, much helped by an equally superb script. All four series are brilliant, although the final one, perhaps assisted by it's tragic end, has the edge over the first three. I will miss the character Nicola Walker plays so perfectly, and like Sunny himself, I too found myself loving her.

Brilliant film as it set the scene and style of a new kind of western, culminating in Once Upon A Time In The West.
