Legitimately one of the best movies ever made. Men can probably relate to most of it more than women, but I’m sure they would enjoy it too. Must watch for sure.

Entertaining. Fun. Tons of action. Witty banter that’s not overly cliche. Plenty of comic relief. Great cast. Solid 4/5

This movie is the perfect example of how out of touch movie critics are. 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. Just watched it again for the first time in maybe 10 years….still great. So glad I clicked on it lol fun movie 👍🍻

I rarely give movies 5 stars. Into the wild is a beautiful work of art that inspires self reflection and appreciation for all the little things in life that we typically take for granted. It promotes the idea of truly caring about people and nature, and spreading love. It was very sad he never sent any word to his family during the entire journey. He was hurting them badly, and never cared enough to write or call to let them know he was okay. You see him care so much for randomness strangers, and still be cold hearted and spiteful with his family. Searching the world for a way to forgive his parents. Hopefully this was just Hollywood’s doing and the real Christopher didn’t torture his family with such selfish silence. Either way...it’s a must watch. Beautiful movie.

It has deep moments. It tells a moving story. But there’s a lot wrong with this movie. I was let down by the hype...I expected a lot better going into it. From the very beginning...this chick comes up looking for a great trainer after having fought and won a fight in a sanctioned event. Next thing you know she’s in a gym and has no idea how to hit a bag. Claims that fighting is all she has...but how the hell did she get to that first fight cuz she obviously has no clue and is a total beginner. You watch her learn how to fight in the gym, which is fine, but why make her out to have had previous experience and then show her to be noob?? Morgan freeman’s character was very odd to say the least. It was hard to pinpoint what kind of character he was supposed to be. He was kinda all over the place. Honestly I would say his character is the theme of the entire movie...cuz there are a lot of holes in the plot that are left unexplained. I can dig a little mystery, but this just seems like too many unfinished character archs and not enough resolutions.

It’s rare I would say any movie or series deserves 5 stars. I’ve reviewed many that were really really good but still only gave 4 stars because of a few things here and there that did a disservice to the overall story or production. This is as close to a western masterpiece as you can get. If your not a western fan...this show will turn you into one. It’s got everything you could want in a story and more.

Finally watched this. Awesome show. It’s a must watch tale of interesting characters and events. Incredible visual effects. Not giving 5 stars because brans character is underdeveloped and boring as hell he could have been way more interesting...aaaand the ending kinda sucked. Most of the last season was disappointing to be honest. The writers did a bad job of wrapping up the story. In a lot of different ways. A massive petition to remake season 8 sounded ridiculous when I first heard about it, but after watching it I completely agree. I wish they had remade it with more episodes and better writing to finish such an awesome story. Spoilers below The writers made a few bad decisions earlier in the plot that didn’t add up...the faceless god telling Arya to assassinate the actress that wasn’t evil so the younger evil actress can take her role, brans incredible three eyed raven journey that was somehow written boring as hell, people magically traveling from one side of Westeros to the other within days. A few plot lines were questionable to say the least. But even with a minor hiccup here and there the main story was awesome and all tied together well for the most part. Until the last season when half of the decisions made by characters became completely inconsistent with that character and unbelievable. This started to happen a lot in the seventh season really and went way left field by the eighth. The writers forced characters to make these “out of character” decisions to shove the plot in the direction they wanted, but it just didn’t work well. And the initial concept of anyone can die at anytime (which I absolutely loved) got thrown out and replaced by ridiculous unbelievable plot armor. The final battle of Kings Landing was disappointing and didn’t add up, but the battle of the dead at Winterfell was the biggest disappointment for me. It was poorly written because the battle tactics that were used made zero sense, poorly filmed because it’s so damn dark you can’t see half of the battle, and chock full of ridiculous plot armor where most of the main characters were placed in unsurvivable situations and wouldn’t you know it...survived. Bran sat there and did absolutely nothing to help in the battle even though he’s a magical being. Didn’t really surprise me though because it was obvious the writers had no idea what to do with his character. Arya being the one to kill the Night King was cool, but the build up to it was non existent. Like we’re all just supposed to accept that she can jump past all those white walkers and stab the Night King with a dagger that was supposed to be in the crypts with her sister. The crypts that were shut and locked that other soldiers tried to get into but couldn’t. The burial crypts where the woman and children were told to hide from the “rising dead” because the cleverest person in the entire story suggested they should hide there. So many holes...so many unbelievable decisions and circumstances. So many disappointments. They rushed through the last season with 6 episodes and bad writing to come to a “shocking” ending that made no sense. If they put more time building into this ending it would have been fine, but with the character development we were given (lack there of) the ending just didn’t work. Even with a let down finish GOT is still worth watching though for sure. I’ll probably read the books now. Hopefully George Martin finishes the story in a more “believable” way that stays true to all the things that made us fall in love with this story.

Solidly entertaining. Don’t listen to the critics. If you like Guy Richies style of directing then you will definitely love it. It’s a fresh take on the story and is fun to watch. Has some quirks here and there that I thought could be better, but is pretty awesome in its own right. Worth watching for sure.

Good movie. Entertaining and moving and epic. Would be 5 star if it wasn’t so horribly inaccurate historically. I was appalled when I did some research and discovered just how far off from the truth it is. Very very far. In so many different ways. Really disappointing and kind of heartbreaking to be honest. This used to be one of my Top 10 favorite movies...I wish I’d never done any research on it. The entire concept of taking a historically true story and completely changing it to your own liking for the sake of creativity and entertainment is flawed and self sabotaging. The reason they choose a real event to make a movie about is because it gives the story depth and meaning. It makes the audience feel like this really happened and is that much more amazing because it was real....only for the inevitable heartbreak of discovering just how perversely false the story really was. I envy people that don’t respect history and can simply enjoy this movie for what it is, but I really wish Mel Gibson would have put in the work to turn reality and truth into epic entertainment instead of saying “no I think this would be better...who cares what really happened.” I honestly feel bad for Scottish people that have to constantly tell Americans that what really happened in their nation’s history was VERY FAR from what Mel Gibson made a movie about. And I feel even worse for English people having to defend themselves against Hollywood farces that the average viewer would never know was a lie. Mel and the writers made up evil falsehoods for the sake of better entertainment...like the English trying to breed out the Scots by invoking the law that forces Scots to allow English lords the privilege to take newlyweds to bed. Never happened. Braveheart is not even a creative interpretation of history that’s “based on a true story”...it’s completely rewritten. Nonetheless...it is an awesome story that put William Wallace in the hearts of the entire world. Mel did an awesome job making it. He took advantage of an ignorant world that knew nothing of Scottish history by using a “real event” to create the illusion of “realness” to add depth and meaning to his story. Bravo...

Great movie. I’m only 30 so when I saw it was made in the 50’s I was a little hesitant to watch it at first. 3.5 hours long...black and white...subtitles...and never once got boring. That’s pretty damn impressive. If your the slightest bit interested in samurais or fuedal Japan you will absolutely love this movie. The scene when the crazy samurai snuck up and started chillin with one of the bandits had me rollin. Very well written and directed with a good mixture of laughs and more serious drama.
