I almost added another star for the sheer purpose that I just had to laugh when they used a goat scream for the man falling from the palm tree.
The only dialogue for the surfers was "dude."
Why was the little girl left alone during the pinata scene when an earthquake struck?
Yelling "stay in your lane!" on a two lane road...
The man in the coffee shop concerned that he didn't save when the power went out during a catastrophic earthquake.
The love interest for the teenagers being a creepy jerk halfway through the movie.
The wife saying "oh this is so like you" when her husband admitted his company was responsible for a geological disaster. How was he the one responsible?
The CEO of the fraking company continuing to drill deeply while LA is actively burning and being evacuated... Does he not care about his company and the damage it will cause to his equipment? Plus, does a fraking company not have active seismic monitoring? Then the guy not realizing LA is actively falling apart? THEN being AGAINST drilling because it would be unstable?
The USGS employee mad that everyone mistakes her for a doctor, then demands she be called doctor because she got a promotion by proxy due to a scientist dying.
I didn't care if any of the characters died. None of them had traits likeable enough to root for them.
This is a movie trying too hard to embrace the B-movie trope.
