As someone who has purchased and renovated properties, I find this show laughable.
While I understand that many problems are hidden behind walls, much of the rust, decay and salt air damage was quite evident.
Having to remove fresh drywall and break up freshly laid concrete to install electric and hvac is an amateur mistake. Complete lack of communication on both the owners and the construction manager's part. They are working on areas that can wait when all of a sudden they remember that the counter top installers are flying in today and the cabinets aren't done!
There are also a lot of scenes where Sarah is standing around watching the men work. Pick up a broom or wash a window while you are standing around whining.
Didn't anyone wonder why they hadn't received an electric bill? All of a sudden there is a rush to pay a humongous electric bill.
The show is advertised as a family adventure with their kids being home schooled. Suddenly the oldest son is sent to a boarding school .
