People complain that Jim dear and Darling are a bi racial couple and it isn't 'realistic' enough buuuuut those are the same people saying that The Lion King was too realistic - absolutely no winning with some people.
Bi racial couple is only distracting if you let it be so, they aren't even the main focus of the film and yes while it may have been unrealistic for the time period - it's a kid's movie and I doubt the majority (of kids) will know that or even care. A copy and paste remake is not what we want anyway, can anyone truly say The Lion King 2019 was brill? No, because it copied the original to every detail but somehow the original did it better.
As some have said, Disney is trying to lead the way forward, not backwards, so I can see why they implemented the bi racial couple.
Do bare in mind, before commenting that a bi racial couple is unrealistic, you are watching about a movie about talking dogs.
