I was all set to enjoy the new Arthurian based series. The premise sounded unusual, but interesting. However, I was greatly disappointed with the result. It seems that this show was heavily Influenced by many existing films and television shows. When I first saw the portrayal of Maryland, I am mediately thought of Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Jack Sparrow. The transitions and the music are incredibly reminiscent of Last Kingdom. The dialogue is heavy-handed, and much of the acting is over done. I would have to say, that most of the fault would have to lie with the director. It is their interpretation of the script which finally makes it to the screen. And this interpretation, was lacking. It got so bad, that at times I was rooting for them to kill some of the main characters. The ones who are supposedly good. I would give this show a C-
