It's a cute game, wonderful adventure story albeit short. However, I found I CONSTANTLY had to look up walkthroughs to find items, such as the fisherman under the bridge, I wasted hours searching the map for the mermaid scale. Some items in the trade storyline are extremely vague and unless you talk to a single character across the whole map, you'll never get what you need to do. I do understand that is how old games worked, I grew up on the original GameBoy Pokémon games with similar function, however this was simply excessive and tedious. Most of the bosses were easy to beat, however it took several deaths to figure out how to beat them (rather, what tools to use) on some as the "clues" given by the owls were absolutely no help. The mini bosses however, those were unnecessarily difficult. All the Zelda games I've played in the past, as well as many other franchises, operated on the principle "Boss is harder than Mini-Boss," but certainly not this game which just becomes frustrating at a point. I may not be a professional gamer who spends plenty of time on these games, but I should not have to try over 10 times to beat a mini-boss in order to further the storyline, and I shouldn't need to rely on walkthroughs to get through the game. If you're going to leave clues, make them more accessible and less "travel the entire map to find out."
Overall, I think this game's graphics are adorable, and very fun. I haven't experienced the frame rate issues others have mentioned, or at least I haven't noticed them enough. The storyline is simple to follow, but short. However, the keys to the storyline are excessive, such as the trade system the game used which at times seemed unneccesary, plus there were few side quests (Color Dungeon for one). I also didn't like the constant bombardment by enemies in all the areas you travel through, which virtually no way of replenishing hearts (even if you spend the Rubees) before say mini bosses or similar, it just seemed like the developers were trying to add a level of "challenge" to the game but badly misplaced it in the final product.
