I LOVED this series ( now on Netflix ( 2024)! During the Post-COVID emergence we seem to be struggling to find the “ Light.” Our current video culture has been one immersing us in violence, porn, profanity, and corruption. Medical McGyver ( a better title than Royal Pains) gives a viewer a bit too much field medicine ( the only negative), while offering humor, love, fun, and great diversity. The cast are extremely gifted in their range of skills, and reflect great cultural glimpses. Of note: Mainers will love seeing scenes of the Nubble Lightouse, and New Yorkers many scenes from Long Island, Southampton especially.

Recaptures the magic, historical romance, and culture of Russia 1900. A classic movie for the ages: Cultural clashes, boy meets girl, rising feminism. Beautiful photography set in frozen St. Petersburg and complemented by symphonic grandeur.
