Steve Higgins

This is one of those films which should be great. The dialogue is wonderful, it's a great screenplay, jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep are excellent but somehow something is missing. The soundtrack by Carly Simon didn't work either.

Like many other reviews on here, this show started well then just went off the rails into a sort of mafia fantasy. It could have been so much better and so much more realistic.

An interesting film in a lot of ways but it’s slow, very slow and very disjointed. The actual crash on the Hudson is show partially a few times and then finally at the end of the film with some very poor CGI stuff. The actual thrust of the narrative seems to be that the airline bigwigs are trying to Shaft Sully. Wether that was really the case I don’t know. Don’t bother buying the DVD.

An interesting film which plods on at very slow pace. I lost interest part way through to a certain extent although I hung on to see the end. Don't expect the same ending as the book. Better music and some serious editing could have vastly improved this movie.

A dismal dull film. I didn't connect in any way with any of the characters. I can only imagine Kubrick's version would have been so much better. Definitely one to miss

As a major fan of Woody Allen I have been disappointed in this series. It is told completely from the point of view of Mia Farrow and her family and friends. Woody has not taken part and the only input from his side has been press interviews, excerpts from his autobiography and clips from his old films. One episode seemed to linger on the themes of his films, men involved with younger women as if this is Woody himself, not the comic character from his films. Having said that, that woody was not properly represented in the series, some of the allegations were disturbing. In fact, I’m not sure that I will ever see Woody as the talented writer and director that I have always admired again. Will we ever know the truth? I doubt it.

A really shocking programme indeed. I was a supporter of Boris Johnson but how he let this sort of thing go on when the rest of the country were trying to stick to the rules was outrageous. I worked for the emergency services and we worked through the pandemic with one way systems in place in our control room, masks worn when leaving and entering and segregated dining areas. Sad to see the Queen obeying the rules but the No 10 staff not only ignoring them but trampling over over them. Truly eye opening.
