Absolutely the best TV drama on the air today. Actually in my opinion, the best, most enjoyable program ever. every episode is memorable and keeps you wanting more. Every actor brings their role to life. I love the Turners especially, though you cannot find fault in any of cast. Judy Parftt and Jenny Aguttar and of course Helen George are wonderful. The nurses. Phyllis, Lucille, Valerie really everyone is delightful and all contribute to make this the perfect show. I dreadfully miss Barbara and Sister Evangeline and please bring back Chummy--Anyway as I am re-watching the entire series for the 4th time, I feel I just cannot wait for Christmas!

Unbelievably stupid, pretentious, pompous critics panned this show. The purpose of any program is to engage their audience --and this show does it in spades. What am I missing? According to critics --it was mundane and not very interesting. For someone who watches a ton of programs, "Away" kept me interested and engaged the entire time. Isn't that what a show is supposed to do. Do not listen to the idiot critics who rave about really crappy shows, but blow off the entertaining ones--maybe they get paid off--This show was wonderful. Hilary Swank was perfect - I looked forward to every episode, Isn't that what a show should do?--I just pray there is a season 2. I wish critics just did not exist. They are usually wrong and people listen to them and don't even watch a great show and don't realize what they are missing. Let us make up our own minds. Kudos to Hilary and entire cast!
