I waited 5 months for this film to finally come out in the UK and my expectations were fully met, if not exceeded. The film was great! I expected to be let down after reading reviews but I honestly really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next film to come out (hopefully it’ll be shown in British cinemas this time). It’s been so long since I’ve had a good romance film to binge watch. The romance side of it is definitely on par with twilights. Overall: 10/10 for acting 9/10 for visuals 8/10 for music 6.5/10 for plot (was lacking a bit around the middle of the movie but picked up again at the end). Only issue I had was that I felt key character development was rushed and some things in the characters history seemed to come out of nowhere instead of being built up and revealed. Would also say other characters such as the dad and mum need more characters development in upcoming films.

This show had massive potential to be something great but the writing totally ruined it (GOT have nothing to complain about when this show exists). Relationships between characters are hazy and don’t really make sense. People you believe to be main characters are killed without a second thought. Big secrets are revealed at silly moments and swept under the rug. Big events aren’t shown (e.g. lots was said about these long lost book parts but one of the main characters suddenly had all the pages appear in a few episodes like they’d just been lying around the whole time). There is no weight to anything in this show. I have real trouble being able to connect with the characters without getting infuriated with how silly or idiotic they become. That being said I will continue to watch it but I wish I hadn’t become invested because I’ve just been very disappointed. Seriously, I’ve seen better writing on wattpad by 14 years olds.
