I have been an Elvis fanatic from the crib, thanks to an aunt who was 8 years older and lived next door. I had pictures cut from magazines taped over my crib, and needed to kiss them goodnight. I was 3 when my mom took me to see Love Me Tender, and I had a fit when Elvis died, and had to be removed from the theater. I have wept over Elvis' grave at Graceland. I have read innumerable books and watched many documentaries on the life of Elvis.
I loved this movie. The performance by Austin Butler brought me to tears, first of joy, then of immense sadness. Tom Hanks was genius as Colonel Tom Parker. The portrayals were authentic and brilliant. Highly recommend.
