A movie that gives a dangerous message to the society. Indian society is already very male centric and these kind of movies where they glorify misogyny will only make it worse. The movie shows that Kabir Singh is just having some anger management issues and he acts out of his intense love. But personally if I came across one such person in life, I would never be able to accept his behaviour, I would rather be scared.
I am afraid this raw form of love showcased will misguide men into thinking that if love is intense even though it is abusive, women would love it. Well, I am really scared as to what lesson would men take from it.
I would love to have a boyfriend who is protective, who can fight the world for me if needed, and who can't think of living without me, but I would not love a person who is a bully, doesn't respect my parents, doesn't ask for my consent and tries to show off to the whole world that I am his property..
I am afraid that this film glorifying toxic form of love should not be taken as an example of how intense you should be in love. Hopefully the message given should'nt be that whatever a crazy man does out of love will be appreciated by girls around.
Apart from this, Shahid has played the flawed character beautifully. The film itself has been made well, but please don't glorify this character.
