It was disturbing, bizarre, and disorienting in the absolute best way possible. I think Eggers fully accomplished what he set out to do. And I honestly can't say if DaFoe's or Pattinson's performance was stronger. They worked off each other so well and both delivered such a convincing descent into insanity. A modern classic.
