I honestly had high expectations about this book due to it being a bestseller, but honestly I’m underwhelmed. I find the characters to have a lack of depth, and maybe it’s because I don’t particularly enjoy paranormal/fantasy books placed in the present day. It gives me uncomfy fan fiction vibes :( sorry but Sarah J Maas’s throne of glass series is much more mature and relatable and easier to get through.
