It's early days, but I am disappointed in the screenplay covering the racehorse story in particular. These major diversions from actual accounts are obviously more irritating for those familiar with the books, looking at the praise offered here. Maybe it was a mistake to start re-reading them. James the 'horse killer' and Tristan buying drinks for everyone in the pub. I'm not sure I'll continue viewing if it goes on like this. Where is the pack of dogs in the house? Must revisit the BBC series.
