Basically, this is the buggiest game I've ever played. And you can't blame wifi either. This is a lazy product and to be honest, will probably be better off in EA's hands. The game looks great in most areas but it feels like they got to the final stages of development and just gave up. Small things which could easily be fixed are still present (now 2nd Jan 2021) and it makes the game extremely frustrating. One example is this: there are only 20 F1 cars, but the lobby is open to 22 people, but there are actually 23 people. This means that 2 ppl have no choice but to just watch and one person has no idea what is going on. Another example is the fact that the game keeps you on "connecting to online services" forever unless you restart the game. A third one is that the engineer for your driver doesn't reply to your questions. Like at all. He is mute for a lot of the time or just answers a different question. The DRS was broken and I get told that my tyres are ok when I asked about the vehicle. There are so many things like AI divebombs, careless race starts by the AI, track limits which aren't actual track limits, time penalties for being smashed in the back by someone else, grid penalties for changing engine components even though you haven't started qualifying. This is all single player stuff btw, we haven't even got onto multiplayer. Multiplayer is probably more frustrating than anything I have ever played. If you join a league you're fine but if you just wanna play online then good luck. If you try to overtake someone, chances are you're gonna get smashed because they're salty. Don't even think about qualifying on the front row bc you'll get divebombed into turn 1. If you want the slightest of a chance to even finish above where you started then just skip quali. Look, this game is great fun with your friends. But if you're ok with being mega frustrated with features that Codemasters cannot be bothered to fix then go ahead. But don't get angry when the Codemasters support forum actually offers no support and the update dont update anything in the game apart from some F2 cars that nobody plays.
