I was absolutely blown away by this movie. It had genuine surprises and it outsmarted me on multiple occasions. The beginning of the movie was heartbreaking to watch knowing that these scenes were things that happened, and probably far more bruttally than depicted. And to then find by the end that these people were not slaves at all but people from modern day who were kidnapped was even more heartbreaking. To imagine as a viewer this happening to you? Unthinkable and terrifying. A horror movie in the greatest respect. Not to mention the powerful female lead role that was portrayed. I hope that everyone who sees this movie checks themselves and remembers that what you say to people how you treat people matters and that we still have work to do, lots of work.
