If Orwell, a master wordsmith, had known of the term “political correctness,” he would’ve used it as part of the weaponry one political system wields against the other in an effort to suppress language and to limit or eliminate certain kinds of thought. Orwell writes about the worst kind of totalitarianism, which starts with small, seemingly harmless subjugations.
