I REALLY wanted to love this performance but it was dismal at best. For those who wanted to get a different view on Alexander Hamilton, I would go elsewhere. The different varieties of music was interesting, however during the rap songs I’m glad I had the subtitles on. I would have missed the whole conversation between actors. The debates between Jefferson and Hamilton reminded me of 8 Mile with Eminem. The 1 Star was for the circular moving stage and PARTS of Jefferson’s character. I believe Jefferson was a bit a character. So the actor who played him captured that. But it was way too long. I love theater, but this really missed the mark for me.
