I LOVE your show!! A question. I was taught all my life that in the woods or outside anywhere cut and fashion a hiking staff. I always have and it has always been a help in a multitude of situations. I don't see the people on your show fashion or carry a hiking staff. I have seen a very few make a spear but they don't use it as a staff. Am I missing something. Is there a reason that people don't use a staff? (Staff- weapon, third leg for balance, emergency that you need a quick shelter you have one pole in your hand already, swing in front as you walk so snakes are warned you are coming, check the depth of water without having to jump in, etc. This is not a complaint I am just wondering.
